This fund connects employers and donors with opportunities to support scholarships and training programs for skilled trades. By investing in local talent, this fund helps build the future workforce to keep San Marcos strong and thriving.

Scholarships for students pursuing automotive, mechanical, welding, or electrical certifications at Gary Job Corps, Austin Community College-Hays/Caldwell campuses, and Texas State University’s engineering and technology programs.
Tools, uniforms, and classroom equipment for San Marcos High School Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs that prepare students for skilled trades and provide over 20 different certificates.
Paid internships and apprenticeships with local employers in industries such as construction, manufacturing, energy, and transportation.
Career readiness workshops & mentorships connecting students with career opportunities through San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce programs with local business partners.
Industry-recognized certifications that give job seekers the credentials needed to launch rewarding technical careers.
Collaborative programs between Texas State University, San Marcos CISD, and area employers to strengthen the regional talent pipeline and keep skilled graduates working locally.
